Virginia hadn’t played the piano since she was a child. By the time she became a resident at the Belknap County Nursing Home, she had forgotten much about her own life. Then one day she sat down at this piano and began to play. She plays it almost daily now. True friends are people whom

A Portland, Maine Relaxed Family Photo Session Last week’s photo session was a nice combination of photos of everyday life–unscripted images of a family in their home–and some portraits. Linda and Don live in Portland, Maine. Linda’s 75th birthday was the day before, and Don’s was January 1st. The couple also recently celebrated their
I’m a wimp when it’s cold. As a portrait photographer, I am equipped to work outside in almost any weather. I may be photographing a lifestyle session with horses, a high school senior, or a family outside their home. Even when I’m not working, I love to snowshoe with my family, walk our dogs, and
Last week I held the first Headshot Day at The Enterprise Center in Plymouth, NH. The day was booked before I could advertise, all by actors and business people. It was a great day. I love doing headshots because with coaching and precision, I get exactly the right expression to help people achieve their goal.
Just after Christmas, Dot and Tom celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. As an anniversary gift, their children gave them a family photo session at their home. They started their session wearing antique clothing–Dot wore the wedding dress that was Tom’s grandmother’s. The tuxedo was not worn to the wedding, but it belonged to his grandfather.
Hymn to the Nameless One Now as the year swings down, and the darkness encloses even the smallest bird, the largest animal, and we too enter the hour when everything is falling once more into the twilight of not knowing, what we ask is that you be with us, not as a pillar of fire
