Melissa came to the studio recently for personal branding portraits for her yoga business, Satya Yoga Studio in Plymouth, NH. We created headshots, yoga portraits, and portraits that simply celebrate her! Later, Melissa’s husband Matt and their sons joined her for individual and family portraits. This whole family is fun, easygoing, and beautiful. They were a joy to photograph. Hair & makeup by Ashley Conn
It was a celebration of sorts for Maddie, Erica and Sean. They had a portrait session in part to celebrate the amazing young lady that Maddie has become as she enters her senior year in high school. It was also a celebration of themselves as individuals and as a family.

From the first contact we had with Maundy, it was obvious that she wants her clients to enjoy every part of the unique process and come away with portraits that will be cherished for a lifetime. She works to bring out the different parts of each person’s personality and show the beauty in that depth. We absolutely love all of our portraits! Maundy is truly talented and a passionate professional who will deliver results beyond your expectations.” – Erica
I am proud to announce that these three portraits each won a bronze merit award in the International Portrait Masters Awards competition & accreditation, first quarter 2018 submissions. Nearly 7,000 images were submitted from around the world and were judged anonymously by eight internationally renowned photographers.
In 2017, my ten submissions earned ten bronze merit awards. I am working towards an international accreditation as an Associate Photographer. This process is another way I can continue to grow. The guidelines involve not only the technical aspects of a portrait, but the emotional aspects as well.
Thank you to everyone who trusts me to create portraits for you.

This is my new friend, Aly. I loved photographing her at this time in her life. Every girl deserves a visual reminder of how important she is.

It seemed like it would never happen, but finally, miraculously, Amy and Paul welcomed baby Molly at the end of October. They can’t stop staring at her, and they filled the studio with love and joy. I am so happy to have created portraits for them to cherish forever.

Here are some of the portraits they chose for their Folio Collection.
Mackenzie is a talented young actor and singer. She performs in community theatre around New Hampshire, and she has her sights set on New York. I can’t wait to see where she goes! These are her favorite images from her recent headshot session.
My son turns eleven today. These are a few portraits I made of him the other day, before I decided to get in the picture with him. At this age, he knows how he wants to look, and he chose his wardrobe. I love his style!
This is a portrait of my son David and me. He’s turning eleven so I took some portraits of him. When we finished, I tried to think of a single photo of the two of us. All I could recall were old ones (really old ones!). Why? Because I tend to stay behind the camera. After all, I’m wearing old clothes, I’m not wearing makeup, I’m…I’m…
The result is lots of family photos–without me in them! So I set up the camera’s timer. I said to him, “You know how much I love you?” He said, “Yup.” And then, “Love you too, mom.”
Then the shutter released. Now we have this. Forever. Old clothes, no makeup and all.
Whatever you’re doing this weekend, I hope you have fun, and don’t forget to get in the picture!
What a loving gift from a father to his daughter. Roy surprised Sarah with a gift card for a photo shoot. She was so excited! Then we spent several weeks planning and designing, deciding on everything from her hair and makeup to her wardrobe. Sarah is learning ballet, so we even did some dance shots. Roy made it even more special by joining Sarah at the end for some beautiful father-daughter portraits.
Sarah began her day with expert hair and makeup styling.
She chose her favorite outfits, from casual to dressy.
Roy got to have his own portraits, and then we did father-daughter portraits.
This is a fun series that they will frame as a triptych.

This is my son, David. He’s nine years old and he had plenty of opinions about the creative direction of his shoot. He spent the weekend making his outfit on his own, which he named the “Mega Shock.” Then he said, “Mom, I’m ready for a photo for my Valentine’s cards now. Make me look cool!”
It was like photographing a celebrity–he gave me about two minutes. With a quick set up, we did this shot in our living room.
