I’m pleased to make two exhibition announcements. My work “Winter’s Mistress,” will be included in upcoming juried exhibitions, one online and one in person.
The Chateau Gallery, Louisville, Kentucky, will host an online exhibit called “In Dreams,” which opens on February 1, online. They received 750 submissions from artists in 22 countries. The juror for this exhibit was Ben Creech, Curator, who chose the work of 39 contributors.
The Chateau Gallery is a “Chateauesque contemporary hybrid art gallery” based in the heart of the Historic Old Louisville Preservation District.
Decode Gallery will host their “Open” exhibit in Tucson, Arizona. The in-person, juried, group exhibit will open on February 11 and runs through March 4, 2023. There will be an opening reception on February 11, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Located in a historic neighborhood near the Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson, Decode Gallery is dedicated to showing the work of fine art photographers.
The juror for this exhibit was Holly Hart, who is also the Gallery’s director. Hart is a conceptual fine art photographer who has exhibited throughout the U.S. Her own work is influenced in part by contemporary photographer Mona Kuhn’s dreamlike aesthetic.
Decode Gallery is a short distance from the Center for Creative Photography. If you’ll be near Tucson, you might consider a combined visit. The Center for Creative Photography is located on the campus of the University of Arizona. The Center contains an extensive archive of work from photographers including Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, and Lola Alvarez Bravo.
