I’m delighted to announce that I have achieved the Master Photographer milestone from The Portrait Masters International Awards & Accreditation program. This is a goal I’ve been working toward for the past six years, as a way to grow, learn, and perfect techniques in my art.
In 2017, I began the process of submitting images biannually to the program, which is for portrait photographers of all genres worldwide. It recognizes the highest professional standard through judging, awards, and the accumulation of points to three levels of accreditation.
Over the years my portraits have earned three Silver awards, several Bronze with Distinction awards, and many Bronze awards.
In each round, thousands of images are submitted by photographers around the world and are judged anonymously by a dozen international, renowned photographers. The judging criteria involves not only the technical aspects of a portrait, but the emotional aspects as well. The accumulation of accreditation points is based on a judging system which also takes into account styling, composition, focus, lighting, connection, posing, post production, and overall technique and presentation.
In September 2019 I achieved the level of Associate Photographer. Now that I’ve earned Master Photographer, I’ll be working toward the highest level, Fellow. To reach that level, I’ll need to earn several more Silver awards in forthcoming submissions, and I can’t wait to get started!
I am grateful to my family, friends, and clients who continue to support me, and to everyone who trusts me to create portraits for them. Thank you.
