“I had an exceptional experience doing a photo shoot (for headshots) with Maundy Mitchell. She deftly put me at ease, thereby helping me into relaxed poses without self-consciousness. She worked quickly but unhurriedly, along the way both evincing interest in what I do professionally and explaining some details of the lighting environment she created for the shoot. The shoot itself was easy and congenial. We then sat down to winnow the proofs down to a few keepers. This selection process, too, was a most enjoyable experience: we traded observations about details, about mood, about lighting quality, and within about 20 minutes had selected 5 shots — all very fine — from the 15 excellent possibilities we started with. I felt throughout that I was in the hands of a gifted professional. The final edited shots are most compelling.” –Mark Nelson
