Anna, Nurse, Plymouth, NH
“As all good ER nurses do, I learned to compartmentalize, created an ability to separate personal life from work life…My work is challenging as a whole, that’s why I like it. After all these years I’m still learning, still growing, still being challenged. Mentally, physically, and emotionally. If I don’t do my job well, someone could die. It’s a heavy weight to carry… For the last year I have been a clinical leader in the ER and now I get the chance to not only [care for patients] but also care for the nurses who care for the patients. Given the current trends in healthcare it can be pretty challenging but very rewarding in its own way…This career has made me stronger and yet more broken than I ever could have imagined.”
