National Juried Exhibition by Women’s Caucus for Art of Greater Washington, DC
I’m happy to announce that three of my portraits from the Protest Portraits series have been selected for a juried online exhibition by the Women’s Caucus for Art of Greater Washington, DC Area (WCADC).
The WCADC invited members of the National Women’s Caucus for Art to submit artwork for a juried online exhibition entitled “See My Color,” WCADC’s Social Justice Art Exhibition. “See My Color” will explore artists’ relationships with racial injustice, police brutality, and criminal justice reform through visual art. The show aims to confront the current social injustices surrounding the deaths of people of color in the United States by law enforcement, as well as systemic racism as a whole. “I don’t see color” is not an acceptable response.
The exhibition’s juror is visual artist, activist, and gallery owner Zsudayka Nzinga Terrell
The online exhibition will be up on September 30th, and continue on the website through November 30th. You will find the exhibition on this page: https://www.wcadc.org
