HERE.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\nThis month, I will host artist Lynn Decker and musician Mark Flynn.\u00a0\u00a0Lynn will show some of her watercolors and prints inside, while Mark will play saxophone outside.\u00a0\u00a0Alongside Lynn, I will show some of my portrait photography work.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lynn Decker paints with watercolor outside. She then uses her plein air paintings as the subjects for her prints. She displays these paintings with their corresponding prints from polystyrene plates. The technique involves coating the plates with gesso and printing with watercolor or block printing ink, silkscreens, or watercolor monoprints. Lynn says, \u201cI try to capture the beauty of nature in a moment of time. It is an act of recreation, based on observation and previous experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark Flynn\u00a0began playing the saxophone at age nine. His early influences included Clarence Clemons and Van Morrison. He began to play music at \u201copen mic\u201d events, and in bands.\u00a0\u00a0He discovered that making music was a great way to meet new people. Mark lives in Plymouth in a house that he built.\u00a0\u00a0He teaches at Plymouth State University, in the English Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
