You\u2019re invited!

Plymouth\u2019s monthly art walk is July 10! Join us for an open studio on Wednesday, July 10, 4:00 -6:00 p.m., at 2 Post Office Square, Plymouth, NH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walkabout Wednesday is coordinated by the Museum of the White Mountains at Plymouth State University. You can find a map of participating artists and businesses HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month, I will host artist Betsy Ayotte, who will show some of her beautiful paintings and prints. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A long-time resident of New Hampton, NH, Betsy discovered her passion for art later in life. A self-proclaimed \u2018regular person\u2019, Betsy has always had an artist\u2019s soul. A foam plate printmaking class at Plymouth State University whet her appetite for creating and her discovery of abstraction opened a world of joy and depth and emotion. While her work is not directly influenced by any one well-known artist, she is drawn to Edward Hopper\u2019s representations of light, Wassily Kandinsky\u2019s abstracts, Paul Cezanne\u2019s tones and feeling and Claude Monet\u2019s ability to tell a story. Betsy\u2019s greatest influences and inspirations come from the community of local New Hampshire artists that share their love, encouragement and art with abandon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Betsy paints with acrylics, using a pallet knife for representational work, fluid acrylics for abstracts and foam plates and gel plates for printmaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside Betsy, I will show some of my new photography work. And if you haven\u2019t seen the expanded studio, come get a tour!
