I tend to stay behind the camera. I have all the excuses for avoiding my own portraits: \u00a0I\u2019m too busy. \u00a0I look tired. \u00a0I\u2019m in the process of allowing my natural hair color (black & white!) to grow in. \u00a0Maybe I’ll be in better shape next year. \u00a0When I thought about that, I realized that I was waiting to be perfect to exist in portraits.<\/p>\n

My friend Milena Perdriel, a photographer with a studio in Paris (MilenaP Photographe<\/a>), recently helped me with this.\u00a0 I booked a short corporate portrait session with her at the end of a week-long work trip.<\/p>\n

Did I still feel all of the things I mentioned above?\u00a0 You bet.\u00a0But Milena made me feel welcome and comfortable.\u00a0 She reminded me of my own message: Don\u2019t let waiting for perfection become a habit. Life is happening now.\u00a0You\u2019re valuable and beautiful now.<\/p>\n

I am so happy that I exist in these photos. \u00a0Now I get to look at these portraits and remember this busy time in my life, this wonderful trip doing the work I love with amazing people. \u00a0Thank you, Milena!<\/p>\n
