Almost always, women over 50 tell me that they do not exist in photos from the past twenty (or more!) years. Sometimes, it’s a matter of having been too busy, or having always been the one behind the camera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let’s face it: those of us over the age of 50 have also been conditioned by the media and society to feel that we are no longer worthy of being seen. This is wrong, and we all need to do something about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between 2022 and 2024, more than 50 women over the age of 50 decided to be photographed with a portrait experience like no other.\u00a0\u00a0What they each discovered was an empowering experience, joy, confidence, and a kind of freedom that resulted from making a point to appreciate\u2014and love\u2013their own maturity. The bonus was a collection of beautiful photographs that will serve as a reminder that they are worthy, now and always, images that will be cherished now and in the future by them and everyone who loves them.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

The Over 50 Revolution 2022-2024 was a portrait experience to celebrate women’s strength, wisdom, and beauty. While these sessions are no longer part of a project (exhibit and book), they are still happening!
